(Ages 5 - adult) In this exciting, inclusive program, participants with differences, siblings, and friends will rehearse and perform a 30-minute musical production. Actors learn to work together, remember cues, do movement to music, and perform a finished product. Actors participate in scene painting and making props. Participants with social differences work in tandem with neurotypical peers to produce a finished musical play that will be showcased in final performances for family and friends on the last day of class.
This group will typically meet every other week to enjoy interaction through a variety of social activities including movie nights, karaoke, playing board games, dancing, and other activities chosen by the group. Click Here for details on all of our Social Nights!
All the fun of our Social Nights, built for a younger crowd. Movie nights, karaoke, board games, dancing, and whatever the group votes for. No auditions, no pressure to perform — just a couple of hours with people who are glad you showed up.
Everybody has questions about their body, their health, and their relationships. Everybody, and too many people never get real answers.
So we answer them. Workshops for all abilities covering health and hygiene, growing up, consent and boundaries, friendships and dating, and staying safe. Small groups, plain language, no lectures. We rehearse the hard conversations so the real ones go better.
Parents: you'll know exactly what we're covering before we cover it.
(Elementary age) This program is designed to help children with social difficulties learn skills about interacting with peers, reading body language and other non-verbal cues, voice modulation, and understanding abstract language and inferences. Youngsters in this group must be cognitively able to work on abstract concepts in communication. Actors have a great time building their self-esteem. The camp will include theatre games and activities, scenes and skits, with a final performance for family and friends on the last day of class.
(Elementary age) This is a theatre program designed for students diagnosed with developmental and/or social delays. Activities, scenes, and skits will be showcased in final performances for family and friends on the last day of class.
For teens and young adults. This is a fun, movement-based program that combines theatrical and musical activities to build skills in following directions, learning patterns, motor skills, collaboration in a group, and building confidence. Those with limited spoken language and/or reading skills will be successful in this program. Individuals of different physical and social abilities join together in fun, guided dance and movement activities that will be showcased in final performances for family and friends on the last day of class.
For teens and young adults. Young men and women hone their communication and socialization skills through theatre games and improvisational activities. Actors must learn to collaborate, cooperate, and share ideas to perform successfully in Improvisation. Scripted scenes are also used to work on non-verbal and contextual cues, as well as socially appropriate responsiveness. Individuals build social confidence as they acquire new skills. Activities, scenes, and skits will be showcased in final performances for family and friends on the last day of class.
