Acting Antics offers a complete theatrical experience where inclusion and representation aren’t just words, but a way of life. THEATER IS FOR EVERYONE, not just to watch, but to participate fully in a way that’s meaningful, accepted, and respected.
Through music, theater, and dance, Acting Antics empowers children, teens, and adults of diverse abilities to connect, express themselves, and grow. Our programs are particularly well suited for those hesitant to participate in larger programs, providing a gateway to acceptance into peer and social groups. And the best way to learn is by having fun!
Our inclusive programs—spanning musical theater, improv, dance, and social nights—provide a welcoming space where creativity, confidence, and friendships thrive. For nearly twenty years, Acting Antics has inspired thousands across Southeast Pennsylvania and beyond to shine on and off the stage.

At Acting Antics we make the most of the strengths and abilities of our participants to observe and copy gestures, tones of voice, and mannerisms. With these techniques, we support our actors in developing greater maturity, understanding of what others may be thinking or feeling, and communicating their own thoughts and feelings more effectively. Targeted skills include reading body language and other non-verbal cues, voice modulation, and understanding abstract language inferences. Students practice these skills through theater games, scripted scenes, and improvisation activities. Actors have a great time while building self-esteem and actively practicing learned skills.
In theatrical drama, understanding concepts, making and interpreting inferences, taking another person's perspective, and formulating language are all key components in working on a scene. Helping diffuse the fear of stigma or judgement from peers, Acting Antics programs are particularly well suited for youngsters, teens, and adults who are reluctant to participate in other programs that imply participants have social disabilities. Participants in theater and drama can be perceived as cool, providing a gateway to acceptance into peer and social groups.
